Its AUGUST already!
Here's some updates. Jake is juggling two jobs and EMT school. I am working part time and taking care of Beau. I love my jobs! I am enjoying watching Beau grow up. Its going by quick. He is holding his head up, working on sitting. I have started feeding him rice and oatmeal (the baby kind). He likes it (most days). He and I cook and clean together. We go for walks and jogs. He is still nursing. This is national breastfeeding week!! I am so glad I was able to feed him....sure saves a lot of money. The cloth diapering is going well! I am teaching everyone around me (what little) stuff I know. I am using
SunBaby and
Kawaii (Good Night Heavy Wetter kind). I have 16 diapers...it lasts us about 2-3 days. By then they get too smelly anyways so we have to do wash. Beau will be 4 months old in a few days. Wow that flew by!
We love living in Seminole. It seems to be pretty centralized to everywhere we go. Its a safe neighborhood and Benny is LOVING the backyard. He has become the frisbee champ!
I just wanted to share some of the stuff Ive been up to....basically I get inspired by Pintrest....
Some foods Ive tried and liked:
YUM YUM YUM!!!
I cannot wait to experiment with baby foods soon!
I recently made Benny a new bed and some Corn Hole bags.
Lately Ive been working on recovering a Wing back Chair.....cant wait to show you the before and afters! Its a little difficult sometimes because its too hot for Beau to sit outside in this heat while I work on uncovering it. Slow process right now. Those nails are hard to dig out!!!
I'm addicted to Pintrest and being crafty lately....I just have a bad habit of not finishing projects I start. So that's been my goal lately!
I have tons on my plate a tons to accomplish...hoping to keep you readers posted!
By the way, the baby weight is coming off...but I'm doing it slowly and healthily! Ill get back to ya on that too.
To change the subject a bit....tomorrow is Purple Heart Day....it also happens to be the 1 year anniversary of Sgt. Josh Robinson and Sgt. Adan Gonzolas' deaths. Last year they gave their lives for our country. Their families have torn apart, come together, gained us (friends) and all of us have grieved together. We've celebrated their lives and will continue to every year. WE WILL NEVER FORGET. Please say a prayer for everyone who is hurting. I hope God fills the with love a hope. Thank you all for everything that you've done for us this past year. Its been a whirlwind. I can finally say we are settling into a new normal.
Thanks for reading.
